Irelene P. Ricks, PhD

Irelene Ricks is a graduate of Georgetown University (undergraduate) and Howard University (doctorate). Dr. Ricks has dedicated most of her professional career to helping underrepresented early-career biomedical researchers find faculty mentors and positions that will further their research goals. Currently working on a national media campaign on health disparities, Dr. Ricks is committed to finding ways to improve the health status of underserved communities, including seniors. As co-founder of Seriously Seniors, she is proud to endorse the Harris-Walz ticket for President and Vice President. Dr. Ricks resides outside of Washington, D.C.  

Susan Chavers

Susan Carter Chavers is a graduate of Syracuse University and has spent most of her professional career in public service and the pursuit of social justice. Married to Attorney Clay Chavers, the Chavers invest significant intellectual and financial capital in the advancement of causes that promote the common good, including issues impacting seniors. Susan is co-founder of the new Seriously Seniors domain that provides an information platform about the social, political, and civic life of adults over age 60. Susan and Clay are proud to endorse the candidacy of Kamala Harris for President of the United States. The Chavers reside in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.
